In Nordic tales, SKJOLD means the shield, a symbol of protection and resilience, worn by those who faced winter without bending.

This rectangular blackened .925 silver pendant is inspired by that idea:
a dark, raw plaque centered around a hand-set octagon-cut stone (10 × 14 mm, approx. 8.2 carats).

The red garnet evokes the warmth of an ember beneath the snow; the black onyx, the silent strength of the night.

SKJOLD measures 20 mm tall and 15 mm wide, and weighs around 5 g, a compact piece with a remarkably strong visual presence.

The irregular edges and deep patina give it the appearance of a fragment of armor found in an Alpine forest.

SKJOLD can be delivered with or without a blackened silver chain, depending on your preference.

No two pieces are identical: each pendant carries its own marks, its own shadows.

The darkened finish is not paint.
It is a handcrafted surface treatment applied to solid sterling silver, creating a deep patina that settles into the recesses and textures.

Over time, through friction, daily movement, and impact, the silver will gradually reappear on the raised areas.

This evolution is natural, intentional, and gives the piece a living character:
