SIGHTING evokes the fleeting appearance of an unknown object crossing the sky.
Suspended from a fine chain, the small silver flying saucer moves with the wearer, as if it had been caught in sight for only a few seconds before vanishing.
Set beneath the craft, a small white opal forms a glowing point of light — the final visible trace of an encounter that cannot quite be explained.
SIGHTING refers to the observation or reported appearance of something unusual.
A name borrowed from the language of UFO accounts: those brief moments when an unfamiliar shape appears in the sky, leaving behind more questions than answers.
Inspired by unexplained sightings, UFO culture and modern extraterrestrial folklore, this earring is part of the I WANT TO BELIEVE collection.
A collection dedicated to the unknown, unexplained phenomena and the uncertain line between testimony, belief and imagination.
The hoop is made from 925 sterling silver and measures approximately 14 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick.
A chain approximately 2 cm long and 1.5 mm wide connects the hoop to a miniature flying saucer.
The flying saucer measures approximately 12 mm in diameter and 5 mm high.
Set into the underside of the craft is a 2.5 mm white synthetic opal, designed to resemble the light source beneath the saucer.
Depending on the light, the opal reveals subtle flashes of colour, appearing beneath the craft like an almost imperceptible signal.
The chain allows the pendant to move and rotate freely when worn, giving the little saucer the impression of floating with every movement.
Each SIGHTING is carefully made and assembled in the workshop.
Slight variations may occur from one piece to another and are part of the handcrafted nature of the jewellery.
Sterling silver naturally evolves over time.
Exposure to air, skin and the elements may gradually create a patina on the surface. This natural ageing can be left untouched for a more timeworn appearance or cleaned to restore the silver’s shine.
